Coronavirus
The coronavirus pandemic has put us in an unprecedented time. In this time of crisis, I think that the most important thing is to save lives, not money. There are a lot of people out there who believe that given the current situation, reopening the economy and trading a few lives is better than keeping the economy closed, and have it be damaged. I think that this kind of thinking is not only wrong, but it should also be frowned upon. This belief does not consider the immunocompromised part of the population, as even if a person is completely healthy and the virus passes through them with no adverse effects, the virus is still being transmitted by the person. Our healthcare professionals are already under tremendous stress, and the more people who carelessly go out and get the virus, the less capacity is left for those who really need treatment.
